it should always live in the system tray
this is a lightweight program -- basically a "widget" -- it is not a full blown program like Photoshop or Word.. therefore it should *always* live in the system tray -- never the taskbar -- regardless of whether it is minimized or not.. that would make it "unobtrusive"
I like keeping Focus Booster open in mini-mode all the time in the corner, however I find it taking up space on my taskbar annoying. I'd like a way to have it not show in the taskbar and instead always show in the tray, even when not minimized.
(Sidenote: Restoring the window from the tray does not remember if you were in mini-mode when you minimized.)
Just letting you know that we are currently working on a new version of focus booster (new design, features, extensions).
If you are interested in participating in the beta testing please get in contact.

I second that. I prefer to eliminate distraction by removing everything unnecessary from my taskbar. When I want to keep the Focus Booster visible, seeing its icon is annoying.
Perhaps this could be an easy solution (lightweight attribute in Adobe Air): http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AIR/1.5/devappshtml/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118666ade46-7dcb.html
But for now, I am using this solution as a workaround:
yes, please develop this feature.
The place it now needs on the taskbar is really a reason to go for an alternative.
I hope itll be developed soon, cause for the rest your program is awesome and more equiped than your competitors
agree with you,it should live in the taskbar and can be set to not be minimized
